Create

Young people love being creative.  In youth club we encourage them to explore different media to express their ideas. We try many activities to support emotional and creative expression, including ceramics, jewellery making, painting, drawing, mosaic art, graffiti, cake decorating, making music, writing lyrics and putting on shows.

We have recently began working with local author Anthony Bunko to support young people to explore creative writing and express themselves and their imaginations through literacy. We have incorporated Welsh history and heritage into these sessions to explore our lineage and bring the past and the future together in stories and poems.

We have supported a youth Camera Club which had young people’s work exhibited in Cyfarthfa Museum and for over three years our young people made costumes and sets and posed for the wonderful photographs designed by Charlotte James and taken by Clementine Schneidermann. Find out more about the project here: It’s called ffasiwn – look it up !
