Skills & Training

Digital drop in sessions are provided across the mid cluster of Merthyr Tydfil to provide free access to digital technology and the internet. The sessions are designed to improve the attendees skills in learning to use digital technology and the internet and also enable them to access better value services. Attendees will learn how to:

  • use comparison sites to save money
  • set up and use emails
  • search for jobs
  • enhance skills when applying for job vacancies

Financial inclusion sessions are provided across the cluster offering support to residents to enable them to develop budgets in line with their income. We look at ways in which people can maximize and make best use of their income by saving money, use lower cost alternatives and manage their finances so they are in control.

We offer support with skills development to help people who are distanced from the labour market to be better equipped to secure employment. We can help with improving basic skills and accessing training. People we have worked with have found that vocational volunteering is an excellent way to become job ready and develop new confidence and skills for employment. If you are looking for a job and have not been in work for a while, please contact us to discuss your needs.
