Tea Dance

EVERY TUESDAY AT THE ST LUKES CHURCH 2PM TO 4PM

Our Tea Dance has been running for a number of years now and has gone from strength to strength with a high amount of attending every week.

Studies show that the Physical,mental and social benefits of dancing can dramatically reduce problems such as depression, memory loss and even alzheimers. The Einstein aging study in 2003 showed that the risk of dementia can be reduced by as much as 74 percent by frequent dancing.Physical activity encourages natural endorphins to flow helping us relax & feel happier.

Dancing can burn off around 200-300 calories per hour. That ’ s the equivalent of either a bar and a half of chocolate, two bags of crisps, a pint of beer or two large glasses of wine.
