Pre-School provides quality childcare offering a wide range of play and learning opportunities for children in a friendly, safe, and stimulating environment If you live in the Gellideg or Twyncarmel area you can access this FREE childcare in the term following your child’s 2nd Birthday.

Quality Pre-school experience offering a wide range of play and learning opportunities in a warm, friendly, stimulating environment. The activities are planned to ensure we meet the developmental needs of each child.

As part of the Healthy Living Initiative we provide a variety of snacks during the session for which we ask a donation of £1 per week.

Admission

We are part of a Welsh Assembly Government initative called Flying Start, held within the local Primary School. We aim to provide the children from Gellideg and Twyncarmel with FREE part time pre-school places. Children are eligible from the term after their second birthday, e.g. child's birthday in jan/feb; child starts pre-school after Easter, depending on availablity. Places are limited so we have a waiting list system.

Pre-school Staff

All staff are experienced and hold relevant childcare qualifications. In addition to: Health and Safety, First Aid and Food Hygiene.

At Toddlers the children experience:

• Role Play.
• Construction Play.
• Messy Play.
• Stories & Singing.
• Physical Play.
• Quiet Play.
