Arthritis Care
Arthritis is a term used to describe a number of painful conditions of the joints and bones. Two of the main types of arthritis are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.Arthritis is a common condition that affects an estimated 8 million people in the UK. Coping with pain and limited movement can be difficult, but there are things you can do to improve life with this condition.
Our classes are designed to support a range of movements to help build flexibility in the joints and muscles. The tutor uses a range of specifically designed excercises built around the NIA technique which originated in America.
Classes are great fun, it's entirely your decision on how much you do and you only need to move as much as you feel comfortable with. The class is also a great opportunity to build social networks.
The classes are held on Wednesdays at Calfaria Chapel in Heolgerrig 1.30pm till 2.30pmpm,£2 per session or two Time Credits (Timebank Members).
